She has been a business owner since her twenties and is dedicated to using her skills to make a difference during difficult times. Her experience includes teaching anger management classes, working at in-patient psychiatric facilities, and conducting conflict resolution training classes for Rotary International.

Meet Elizabeth Jewett Owen, Attorney at Law
Elizabeth Jewett Owen has been practicing law and mediation for well over two decades. After earning her Bachelor of Science Degrees in Economics and Marketing from Cornell University, she attended the University of Buffalo School of Law. During her time in law school, she participated in two international law programs which equipped her to currently work with clients across the globe, including her birth country of South Korea. After only 2½ years, Elizabeth was admitted to the State Bar of New York in 1996.
Elizabeth has always taken great care in forming trusting individual relationships with her clients. She is an attorney and certified mediator, with extensive experience in conducting divorce mediation, contract negotiation and conflict resolution.
At Consenso Mediation and Divorce Coaching, Elizabeth serves as our in-house attorney specializing in real estate negotiations, wills and trusts, complicated divorce matters, custody and child and spousal support matters, advanced degrees, business interests, and retirement asset distribution. Elizabeth also has been drafting court orders to distribute retirement assets since 1996, including Qualified Domestic Relations Orders and Military Retired Pay Orders, and is considered a QDRO expert.
Elizabeth is extremely family-oriented and she lives and practices by her philosophy that family must always be first priority. Her spare time is devoted to creating and sharing quality time with her husband, children, parents and extended family.
